Another Christmas has come and gone. I sincerely hope it was a happy, healthy and joyous event for each and every one.
For many of us, today is another work day as we return to our jobs once again. If you are fortunate enough to have a few more days off during this holiday season it is still incumbent upon all of us to immediately return to the task at hand. That task being the never ending fight to return this great nation to the principles upon which it was founded, and reverse the destructive, "progressive" onslaught that has been going on since the days of Woodrow Wilson.
This will not be an easy task, and it will not be accomplished overnight. We have many issues to be addressed, but one of the first is going to be our duty to choose the right candidates for the 2014 election.
We took a big punch to the gut with the re-election of President Barack Obama, and America will suffer ill effects as a result of that election for many years. If we expect to mitigate the effects of that election we must start with the next election. After Barack Obama's first win in 2008 and the travesty which is Obamacare was shoved down our throats by him and his cronies, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, it looked as if America might be waking up. We saw the rise of the Tea Party, and that movement was instrumental in placing Constitutional Conservatives in many state houses and state legislatures. It also gave the Republican Party control of The US House of Representatives and pared down the super majority in the Senate.
Although the Tea Party is still very much alive today we did not accomplish the one thing that we needed to start this country back on the right path ... we were not able to gain the Republican Party nomination for President by a true Conservative. I am not going to use this forum to disparage Mitt Romney. There is no denying the fact that he is a successful business man, a good family man and a good and caring person. These are all admirable traits but they alone will never win the Presidency.
But I digress. What we must concentrate on over the next two years is an all out effort to identify the best candidates ... those with true Conservative values and the courage to iterate those values ... for the many local state and federal offices that will be up for election in 2014. These candidates must be vetted to ensure that they truly uphold these values, and will not back away from these values for the sake of political expediency.
With the right candidates, and with the support and hard work of millions of like minded Americans we can gain a huge victory in 2014. I truly feel that we can strengthen our majority in the House and gain back the Senate. Then, and only then, will we be able to start America back on the long and arduous road to our founding principles.
"Sic semper tyrannis!"
